Can you get off on non-porn?

Most of us gay kids spent out childhoods getting off on the models in GQ, or the hot men in Playboy who were usually out of focus or in the background. I know I used to jerk off to the posters on my wall of all the rock stars I thought were really hot–you could get away with putting musicians on your wall, but not male movie heartthrobs. I’d even check out layouts of guys like Patrick Swayze in publications like People.
That all seems so strange now that we have porn everywhere. I can’t think of the last time I saw a gorgeous man in a magazine (clothed), and jerked off to him. If I see one, and get hard, I go find the porn and change fantasies. I was thinking about this a bit more as I watched the gay site BuenosBoys.com. Yes, it’s porn, and yes, they’re naked by the end of the clips, but for much of it, they’re just showing how gorgeous they are and posing for the camera. They’re so sexy, that I desperately hoped some guy would show up and fuck them, but no. The site also has these great wallpaper photos of the men, and it reminded me of all the young heartthrobs who used to make me hard. I’ll admit it; way before any of the guys stripped I was rarin’ to go. But I can’t imagine stopping at that point.
Every once in a while I’ll see a photo of someone really gorgeous, like Patrick Dempsey, in one of those obvious crotch-shots. I’ll start to jerk off, but I don’t follow through. Now I really want to know; does anyone do it anymore? Or has all of that gone the way of cable TV?
