Goodbye Project Runway, Hello Iman!

Ever since Project Runway jumped ship and headed over to Lifetime, Bravo has desperately tried to replace their top rated show with little success. Last season, they offered up the Fashion Show, a low rent stand-in series based on the same premise, that featured unlikable and untalented contestants who presented their homemakeresque garments to the likes if douche bag designer Issac M(iserable)ahi and Destiny’s Child survivor Kelly Roland, and the result was a definite fashion don’t.
But this season some of the players have changed and with a new concept and the addition of Iman, a woman who most people are physically afraid of, the show seems to have out done itself and makes Project Runway seem like a distant memory. The contestants are sassier, the designs are better and again, Iman will make you cower in a corner. Runway has become stale and sedentary and even Tim Gunn seems to be upset with the future of the show as he has publicly stated a few times, but the Fashion Show presented in HD (Lifetime is still too ghetto to make the full switch) may just be the next big thing. If you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a chance and you might just find yourself captivated by the new design.
