Cyndi Lauper takes on the Donald
After Joan Rivers roared away with last season’s title of Celebrity Apprentice putting the flailing show back on the map, it was no surprise that the casting geniuses would once again try to find a colorful character to keep the momentum going. In steps brilliant songstess and gay banner waiver Cyndi Lauper who has dedicated much of her career to helping the LGBT community. Her mission on the show was to raise money for the True Colors Fund, an organization that focuses on education, housing and awareness for and about gay issues and people.
The girl who wants to have fun had some great encounters with fellow rockers Bret Michaels and Sharon Osbourne, and after a few rounds of boardroom bashing, her out-of-the-box, larger than life persona finally earned her walking papers this week from Mr. Trump. But Cyndi didn’t leave before garnering money for her charity and giving some of the more staunch contestants a piece of her colorful mind. She may be “So Unusual”, but she can still rock!
