Adopt a Baby in Florida, While you Can
Guess what. You can adopt babies in Florida now. Yep, this week a Florida appeals court struck down a state law barring gay men and lesbians from adoption on the basis of equal protection under law. Following the unanimous ruling, Governor Charlie Crist stated to CNN that the state would immediately stop enforcing the ban.
Frank Martin Gill, the gay father who sued for the right to keep the two sons he and his partner adopted in 2009 will now be allowed to keep his children. Of course the Department of Children and Families has 30 days to appeal the decision.
Wow isn’t that nice of the court to allow someone to keep their children? So let me get this straight, Britney “ I shaved my head, showed my twat, took tons of drugs, mentally abused my kids, and rely on auto tune to sell my records” Spears wasn’t questioned about her parenting skills, but Mr. Gill had to sue because he was gay? That seems fair.
