First Impression

Next Door Buddies is aiming to be the gay porn site that lives up to its name. You log on and see, well, dudes. (The two guys on the homepage look like they’re about to audition for “Cum and Cummer.”) Some of the men are fairly ripped, some not so much, and all of them are pretty young. The one thing they all have in common, aside from probably doing bong hits and watch Adam Sandler flicks, is getting it on with other dudes. As I found out after reading up on the models, they’re all amateurs; many of whom have never even smiled naked for a camera before. If that’s your porn fantasy, click away.

As soon as you start checking the site out, you realize you’re in for pretty much a niche site, some cute guys, and a few who seem like they simply got extra points for having big dicks. Dig a little deeper, however, and there are some real hotties. The site design is pretty straightforward. The ads are all on one side of the page, and there’s a cross-search mechanism that takes you to actor or category. (In all fairness, however, there’s not a whole lot of difference between “muscular” and anything else. When I searched for “Beefy,” one video came up.) The clips are all from original movies that you can order, should you wish.

Content

There are hundreds of photos that exist in a slideshow format, shot separately from the accompanying clips. That’s a cool feature, and the photos are high resolution. The videos are standard stuff; each one is about 20 minutes long, and the camera work is, at times, borderline “Paranormal Activity.” Most of them are shot in bright light, which helps, and the set-ups aren’t much longer than “guy reading book until big cocked man walks by.” A few have the basic, “I’m downloading straight porn; could you stroke my cock while I get off” hetero themes. You can stream or download all the scenes, in high or low resolution. For hardware-saving guys, know that the low resolution was pretty blurry after download.  The site updates about once a week, and, once again, it’s exclusive to the site.

Guys and Sex

Most of the guys on the site seemed pretty into each other and the action, despite the staged direction. I’d be surprised if any of them were over 25, and not for sale. While some are borderline boys, I didn’t find one model who looked malnourished—some guys dig that. A good chunk of the clips only go as far as blow jobs, so, if you want to see ass-ramming, check out the plot summaries displayed above each clip. (My two favorite guys only suck when they’re paired up.) Ditto ass-play. I’d be really surprised if any people who view these clips don’t fast-forward—the faces and cocks and bodies aren’t the kind you linger over for too long. Value

There’s some worthwhile stuff on this site, and fresh faces. In many ways, the best thing about Next Door Buddies is that it gives you free access to several other sites, including CodyCummings.com and Colt. (There’s even a Montreal, live gay strip show site and one site for breeders.) When you find the bonus links, it asks for your password—not to fret, it’s the same one used for Next Door. To make the price of the guys on Next Door worth it, or to keep you renewing your membership, they’re going to have to update more frequently and maybe get a couple more “star” cocks. There are live webcam shows, but they’re for an additional fee (and the guys look exactly like the kind of guys you’d expect to find in a gay peepshow). If there is a model you’re hot for, his schedule is listed, so you know when to come back to see him one-on-one. There’s no blog or interviews with the stars, another feature that could spice things up a bit.

Overall Impression

I would recommend this site if you want a quick porn fix and access to lots of other sites that you haven’t already purchased. Check them out ahead of time.  If anything, this is a porn-aficionado site—the one you purchase after you’ve paid for the basics, and just can’t seem to get enough men. It has potential, and new guys, and I hope they keep finding fresh talent.

Next Door Buddies is a site of exclusive clips that you can stream or download. The guys are all amateurs and all pretty young. While some of them are beefy, a lot have average builds, and are featured in videos that have a streamlined, unprofessional feel. It’s for serious porn-lovers only, but you do get free access to some other great sites.
