First Impression

When you’re asked to review sites that are part of a larger network, it’s never a good sign that, by the time you’re onto the second one, you find there’s little to write about. My Gay Boss is part of the Phoenixxx.com network, and there’s just not a whole lot going on here. It lives up to its title, in that each clip has a set-up of boss versus client. It also features very young guys, most of whom are pretty smooth. You also get access to My Husband Is Gay as well as some other random clips and bonus material. You won’t get bondage or fisting or leather daddies.

The site is cool-looking if somewhat confusing. Like most network sites, you don’t automatically go to My Gay Boss when you log on. You go to the main Phoenixxx.com page, where you’ll find a link that takes you to your final destination. In the meantime, feel free to look around, because all of the guy pages are in front of you. You can sort by Category, but note that, when you hit “Muscular,” only one clip shows up. My Gay Boss has a very small collection of clips and models, ditto all the bonus sites. However, if you’re a fan one of or two of the guys on the site, you’ll find them easily. My Gay Boss gives you a mini-slideshow when you hover on an image, which is only weird for the interview clips. There’s no need to see the different hand gestures of the guys being interviewed, and it’s too bad they can’t delete that feature.

Content

The photos look great, the resolution is good, and they have an extensive set. You can view them in a slideshow format and you can download them into a zip file.  The videos are fine; nothing special, nothing horrible. The lighting tends to be flat, and the sound isn’t all that fantastic. The directors have a lot of silly set-ups before they get to the good stuff. Some of it is so bad it’s especially comical. For some reason, most porn sites (unless they’re the really big-time sites) have the worst décor. It’s like they go to the nearest garage sale, and then add a few items they found in a Trailer Park, and put all of that in the shoot. As far as streaming and downloading, the options are good. You can stream with different speeds, and you can download in WMV or MP4. The clips are fairly long, the site updates a couple of times a week, and the material is all exclusive to Phoenixxx.com.

Guys and Sex

There aren’t a lot of guys here, but the ones they do have vary in type. Some are fairly muscular, others are complete waifs. They’re mostly boyish-looking, and you’re not going to find anything too extreme. All of them are young, which is the one unifying factor. As for the sex, it’s okay. There are some hot, big dicks, and some nice fucking, but nothing is out of the ordinary. The men pretty much go about their business as if they’re getting, well, paid to do it, and you never find yourself saying “damn that guy can fuck.” You’ve seen this concept a million times, and it’s not any better than all the competing sites.

Value

The only way you’re going to get your money’s worth on this site is if you really dig the guys. There aren’t a lot of them, and the extras aren’t all that exciting. If a couple of guys on here really float your boat, give it a try. The wallpaper is good, you get live cam shows, and you get some extra sites. There’s plenty of room for improvement, and maybe My Gay Boss will improve over time.

Overall Impression

My Gay Boss feels like a site in the making; there’s not a lot of content, the extra sites aren’t all that exciting, and there isn’t a lot else going on. Also, the site has interviews with the “stars,” which is fine, except that they have about as many of the interview clips as they have porn clips. It’s very off-balanced, because most people don’t log onto a porn site to see the guys interviewed. If it were an extra, it would be a much better feature. As is, it makes the site seem like a rip-off.

Bottom Line

My Gay Boss is a small site under the larger umbrella of the Phoenixxx network. There’s not a lot of content yet, the guys are very young, but there are a couple of good clips.
