- First Impression
I've posted before in the GayReviews.com blog that straight guys are evil. They really are. Straight men know that while we homos generally accept that they don't want to go swimming in the Queer Pond, we'd love it if they dipped their toe in at least once, just to see what it was like. And they know that, and they exploit it as much as they can. They flirt with us, they tease us, they tiptoe to the brink of impropriety and then…nothing. Nothing at all. Well. StraightHell.net is payback.
The guest homepage for Straight Hell promises, "Real straight men as you've never seen them before: stripped naked, struggling and screaming." So take that, straight men! The preview video on the homepage starts out all sweet and innocent--until the straight man is kidnapped, bound and gagged, and zapped with an electrical thingy (cattle prods!). Plus some other things, like piss, and all that good BDSM stuff. Lord, even in one of the preview pictures, a guy is crying. It's borderline, but I'm somehow okay with it. - Navigation
Logging into Straight Hell, the site keeps much of the touches that the guest page had: colors kitted out in black and red, giving a very dungeon-y feel. It's quite nice (hah!) and effective. Then again, it's easy to have a site focusing on BDSM and slap it up on the web in blacks and reds. While the decor works, it's not terribly original. The navigation is a little clunky. There are too many updates located on the homepage and it seems a little extraneous. At the top of the page are thumbnails of the "straight guys" and clicking on their pictures will take you to each episode the guy has been in. The problem here is that these pages are still a little lengthy. Rather than being organized into neat little boxes or thumbnails, each episode is fully described (almost as though someone were writing erotic fiction) with a handful of preview pictures from the episode. While it's not "bad", per se, it's just a little…much. -

Where Straight Hell really suffers is in its content delivery. Kind of. Episodes can be downloaded in two parts (part 1 and part 2, duh), and each part can be downloaded in high, medium or low quality. That part is really great, because it will allow you to view downloads quicker, or if you don't' mind waiting you can download high quality. However, the downloads are only available in WMV. Where's the Mac love, Straight Hell? Pictures can be viewed online in "kind of" a slideshow format, but can only be downloaded one at a time. Plus, they're just screenshots, so you might as well wait for the download, y'know? -

Now, the content quality. Lord. When they say "BDSM" they really, really mean it. I've seen more than my fair share of websites that claim to be BDSM but it's just, like, an ass-slap here and a blindfold there. Straight Hell really puts these "straight" guys through hell. I mean, I get off a little on being tied up, blindfolded and tossed around a little. But this site…there are restraints and rope and cattle prods (cattle prods!) and force and piss and leather (cattle prods!) and chains and nipple pegs and riding crops and electric dog collars (cattle prods!) and…God. And it's all so hot. This is BDSM done right, y'all. And the guy are all surprisingly attractive. I don't know why it's a surprise, but across the board, the straight guys are tasty-looking, and the sadistic tops are just...*shivers*. -

What's not done right is the lack of any added value. You're stuck with what's on this site. But honestly, there's a lot on this site to keep you busy.

StraightHell.com has flaws, to be honest. It's navigation's a bit lacking and it needs to allow for more downloading options. But all of that can be fixed. The content is where this site shines. It's fascinating in its complete descent into BDSM. Perhaps the best critique I can give is that for the first time, I don't want to be the bottom in the video. I just want to sit here and watch, cock in hand. -
