- First Impression
So, here's the thing. I have a thing for really dominant tops. When it comes to sex, I want a guy who's going to take what he wants, and take it a little roughly. Thus spake BrutalTops.com. The visitor's homepage for Brutal Tops is, well, brutal. It's black and white, with just enough red and yellow to lead your eye places. The preview pictures show a small taste of what's about to happen: bondage, piss, fisting, boots. (Apropos of nothing, "Bondage, Piss, Fisting, Boots" is the name of my emo spoken word album.) And then there's the video. Honestly, so much happened in the video, so many images went by so quickly, that I can barely make sense of it. I know there was piss. I know there was fisting. I know there was extreme deep throat. There was mud. And pounding. Pounding for days. But honestly, all of that is more than enough to pique my curiosity. Logging in, the very first thing I see is the word "sploshing". I hope to God I find out what sploshing is. The site design from the guest home page is exactly the same. Just black and white, with enough accent colors to draw the eye where it needs to go: to the humiliation. The middle of the homepage features preview pictures of the most recent humiliating session, and the bottom third of the page features thumbnails of all 19 sessions. This layout works in theory, but the execution is a bit clunky. While the pictures in the middle definitely whet my appetite to see what's going to happen, they seem a bit haphazard. If you were to visit a museum--say, a porn museum--the art would be laid out in such a manner as to tell a story. It wouldn't just be thrown haphazardly on the wall. It's specially designed to be catching to the eye in very specific ways. These preview pictures don't necessarily accomplish that task.
Navigation is delightfully simple. There are four ways to sift through the material. At the top of the page there are three drop-down menus, which allow viewers to choose content based on the session, based on the style of humiliation (i.e. armpits, cock chastity, mud, tranny training and vomit--which, ew) or, perhaps my favorite option, by tops. The purpose behind Brutal Top--and this is basically from their mission statement--is to showcase the tops. This website is not about the bottoms in any way, shape, or form. If you are coming to this website, chances are you either have a secret domination fetish or you're a brutal top who wants some pointers. -

Delivery of content is where Brutal Tops most needs to focus their efforts. Videos can be streamed online, which is always welcome. There are a couple of download options: medium or large WMV files or small FLV files. Occasionally, there are also pre- and post-session interviews that can be downloaded in WMV format as well. While Brutal Tops could stand to expand their file type for video downloads, this is largely satisfactory. Viewing and/or downloading images is the most time-consuming, irritable part of the website. There is no original photo content, it's all screen shots of the videos. And let's be honest, if you're coming to Brutal Tops, you're not coming for screenshots of the videos, your'e coming for the videos. What's the point of a still when you can see the action? The images--of which there are easily a hundred or more per session--can be viewed in kind of a slideshow format, but would really benefit from a bulk download option. -

I think I could easily become addicted to this site, and that's the highest praise I could give anything. The guys are...woof. Okay. Where to start? First of all, the guys are not conventionally attractive. But when you think about Brutal Tops, you don't think about gym-toned pretty boys who like to look pretty while they fuck. At least, that's not what I think. When I think Brutal Tops, I think guys who are so into fucking, they don't care whether or not they're pretty. All of the tops at Brutal Tops are hot in a rugged, manly way. You look at these guys and know they've been through some shit, and it's quite possible they fucked their way through it. Also, they're all British or Scottish, thus affirming my realization that I should've been born int he UK. There are two tops in particular who are truly amazing to watch as they dominate: Master Chris and Master Maurice. These two guys are just amazing to watch. If you're looking for the definition of Brutal Top, it's these two. But to be quite honest, every video is a gem. Every video is worth downloading waiting for it to stream. -

Unfortunately, there's no extra value at Brutal Tops and I struggle trying to decide if it needs it. The site stands well on its own and any bonus material may detract from that. -

I honestly have never enjoyed a website this much. There are a lot of websites that promise the tops are brutal and then don't really deliver. Brutal Tops humiliates them all. It is the golden standard to which all other BDSM website should be compared. Yes, there is room for improvement, but as these Brutal Tops will tell you, even the best slave could be more subservient. -
