First Impression

The thing about a network site is that it's only as good as the sum of its parts.  Ultimately, it doesn't really matter what the hub site looks like or how easy it's navigated or anything like that; what matters is what its satellite sites have to offer.  So with 1GayPass.com, it shouldn't matter that at first, it's kind of an assault on the eyes.  The colors are a little garish, a little too bight, especially on a pure white background.

Navigation

The free tour is a bit calmer.  All those garish colors are still there, but against a soft blue background they seem more subdued.  The sites that fall under the purview of 1 Gay Pass are: Boyz Party, Men Over 30, Circle Jerk Boys, Boys Gone Bad and Extra Big Dicks.  Solely from the tour, each of these sites look like they could be a gem.

Logging in, the site design stays mercifully the same.  For me, there's nothing more annoying than a paysite that has one design for the guest home page and then a completely different design for the members home page.  The design is a little busy, however.  Each site is represented on the homepage, but there are lots of pictures, a lot of text.  Luckily, everything is easily navigated.  Interestingly, BoysGoneBad.com is the only site that's not represented by a picture of description, however you can still navigate there from the home page.  Something that's a bit annoying is that in order to navigate to each site, you have to log in with your username and password again.  There has to be a way to register the fact that a user has already signed in.  It's a minor inconvenience, but one nonetheless.

Content

Each website therein mostly has its own site design (though Extra Big Dicks and Circle Jerk Boys have very similar--and extremely basic--layouts).  Unfortunately, these designs don't always work.  Sometimes they're too busy, sometimes they're too confusing.  Generally, the navigation is simple.  What's really annoying, however, is that each site has its own form of content delivery, which makes no sense to me.  I would imagine that a network would make sure that each of its satellite sites has the same basic amenities but in this case, I'm wrong.  The content really varies in quality depending on which site you choose to visit. Some have older, low quality video while others are offering more frequent updates in 1280x720 high definition. Each site offers photos and there are about 1800+ videos and 2000+ image galleries across the network, with new ones coming in somewhat steadily.  There's a lot of stuff, but very little consistency.

Guys and Sex

Interestingly, the guys at each site are pretty hot, each site in its own different way.  One thing that the 1GayPass.com has done well is making sure that the guys selected fit into the site for which they're selected.  Unfortunately, that doesn't always pan out to hot sex.  The two sites where the sex is the hottest are Circle Jerk Boys and Extra Big Dicks.  The other three are okay, with BoysGoneBad.com perhaps being the least boneriffic (though the concept behind the site is pretty hot, if you're into voyeurism on a group scale).

Value

Surprisingly, besides the fact that 1 Gay Pass is a network site that lets you into all its satellite sites, the network offers different video feeds for each of its satellite sites.  That is, the five or six video feed sites for Circle Jerk Boys is different from the five or six for Men Over 30, which is different from BoyzParty and so on and so forth. This means you're getting a lot more content than just these select websites, which is a nice added bonus to joining.

Bottom Line

If a network site is truly the sum of its parts, the parts of the satellite sites don't quite sum up to 1 Gay Pass.  The network would do well to redesign a few of its sites and to equal out some of the standards of a paysite--content delivery, content in general.  However, some of the parts on their own are pretty good.  Dig around for those gems, and you'll be good to go.
