- First Impression
The guest home page for BoysGoneBad.com suffers from a bad case of 1999. You know, when the internet still seemed kinda shiny and new and website design was bad and blocky and Geocities was "the thing"? That. That's what's going on at the guest homepage for Boys Gone Bad. There has to be a better way to get people interested in a website than…nothing. With a black background and links in primary colors, it's a bit garish and vibrating. The banner itself isn't anything special; if I weren't reviewing paysites, I'd say this was a website for pictures of shirtless guys. But let's log in, shall we? - Navigation
Even before getting to the log in--if you decide to take a look at the free tour, you see all the sex. The design still isn't anything special--what is with these colors?--but the site begins to look more like a paysite you'd pay for, and not one you'd find for free.
Logging in, I'm a bit disappointed. The site design is just…not good. The navigation is easy enough; there are plenty of ways to get to where you want to go, but those ways are also a bit superfluous. I don't need a navigation bar at the top of the page plus a homepage that's all just navigational menus. Additionally, the "Just Added" updates are difficult to read and the site hasn't been updated since January of 2008. And now, after that tangent, the site design: imagine if nearly every color were used on a black background. Anything you might have imagine? It's here on this page. -

While it's never explicitly stated, the concept of Boys Gone Bad is that sex happens at parties. Basically, sex parties are thrown, things are video taped, pictures are taken…I gotta get invited to these parties. Anyway, as a result of this, pictures and videos are categorized into what event at which they happened. The pictures are largely superfluous; they're just screenshots from the videos. However, there's a slideshow function, but no bulk download options. The videos are much better viewership, but the content delivery is kind of skewed. There's no chance to watch the videos stream, unless you have Real Player. Otherwise you're stuck downloading for Windows Media Player. -
- Guys and Sex
That content is…weird. There's not always sex. And the guys aren't always quite that attractive. But what's cool about the site is that there's a very voyeuristic feel to these videos. If this is something that truly happens at parties, then there's something kind of sleazy about these videos--but in a good way. The kind of sleazy that porn should make you feel. Now like I said, there's not always sex, the guys aren't always classically attractive, but if you think about some of the hottest sex you've ever had, it wasn't always with the most attractive guys. That's because pretty people are too worried about being pretty to really get into sex the way it should be. This sex that "breaks out" "spontaneously" "at parties"--allegedly--is ugly and dirty and raunchy and kind of perfect. -

Access to Boys Gone Bad gets users full access to a handful of other websites like Men Over 30, Extra Big Dicks, Boyz Party and Circle Jerk Boys. Because BoysGoneBad.com might not be enticing enough for you to join on its own, the network access is a nice bonus. Additionally, there are streaming videos and pictures from 11 other sites from which viewers can choose. -

BoysGoneBad.com is one of those sites that works but it doesn't. It's like an obstacle course: there's a lot to slog through to get to the win. If you're up for it, jump those hurdles. If voyeuristic porn is your pleasure, this should be right up your alley. -
