- First Impression
The thing about BijouGayMovies is that Bijou Video, the production company that runs Bijou Gay Movies, has been around for 40+ years. That's more than enough time to figure out how to get it right. Then again, Charlie Sheen has been around for 40+ years and he still hasn't gotten it right, so…I don't really know where to go from there. - Navigation
I have to admit, I'm a bit taken by Bijou Gay Movies' site design. It's just really simple and striking at the same time. The guest's homepage is all gray with powder blue accents and it just makes everything pop. The only things that aren't not monochromatic are the video covers. Logging in, the header stays gray and everything else is white and blue. I know I rag on some other sites for being too simple, but Bijou Gay Movies does simple right. Other paysites? Pay attention here. I really like the navigation as well. There's a perfect amount of recent updates on the homepage and everything else you need is on the left hand side of the page. It's not anything that's more special than any other site, but I'm so enamored of the site design that even the navigation is like, "Oh man, wtf is this awesomeness!" -

To navigate to the site's content, users can click on "All Videos By Scene" or "All Photos". Clicking to "All Videos By Scene" will get you to…well, all the updates. Duh. Each video is available to stream online as well as download for Quicktime. And…that's it. I'm a little disappointed because everything else at Bijou Gay Movies is stellar thus far. The photos are not original content, just screenshots from the videos. There's no bulk download option, but you can watch them online in a slideshow format, and actually change the speed at which the pictures change. One thing I really like about the navigation is that there's a drop down menu of every DVD that's on the site, so if you're well-versed in Bijou Video's filmography, you've got a leg up. -

Okay, here's the deal: I like vintage porn. A lot. There's a quality to it that is sometimes a little laughable (like when dialogue is dubbed over the video and it's so obvious because the actors mouths aren't even moving, yet someone's voice is all "Yeah, fuck me in the butt!") but there's also a kind of seedy quality to it, and it just seems like all the actors are into it. You know what I mean; it's like porn was this new thing back in the day and the guys fucked to fuck, where as now it seems like people think porn is just a great way to get famous and make money, so they're only concerned about looking pretty. This is my way of saying that the videos at Bijou Gay Movies are hot, no questions asked. This is, quite possibly, one of my favorite, most diverse collection of videos I've seen on the internet. The photos are a bit superfluous--why look at photos when the videos are right there--but I'm not complaining much. -

Bonus content at Bijou Gay Movies is minimal. There are some links to dating sites, to sex toy sites, to sites where you can buy Bijou videos, and then…socializing in 3D? Oh my God, it's…it's like World of Warcraft, but for meeting other homos. It's World of Gaycraft. -

The best thing that I can say is, buy a damn subscription to Bijou Gay Movies. Seriously. Just go do it, right now. Because it's worth. Every. Penny. -
