- First Impression
Whenever I log onto a gay site that has "real" in the title I get a little squeamish. I’ve pretty much realized that "real" translates to "amateur" and a lot of sloppy-looking videos with so-so guys. Unfortunately, RealGuysExposed.com proved my theory right. After you log on, you’re more than likely to wish you’d found a gay porn site as opposed to another bad XTube photo display. I’m still not exactly sure what makes these guys so "real," other than the fact that most are not professional porn stars. And since every gay site "exposes" the men, that part doesn’t make a whole lot of sense either. Another day, another average porn site. - Navigation
The layout is pretty standard, and nicely done. There are a lot of graphics and links, but it’s not overwhelming. They also don’t stuff the site with a bunch of ads. Like most gay porn sites, the most recent clips are shown, along with links to blogs and other stuff. They have surveys (those are always fun), a list of what you might have missed, a top model box, and updates and top-rated video sections. I had no trouble finding anything I was looking for, or sorting through the different pages and guys. You can easily switch to photos or the blog without getting lost—sometimes these sections are hidden. -

This is the first sight I’ve seen in a while in which the photos weren’t too hot. The resolution isn’t all that great, and, maybe it’s just a reflection of the videos themselves, but the action isn’t enticing. On the bright side, they have an extensive album for each clip, so you can go through and see if it’s something you actually want to download. The videos themselves are also average; and when they try and get artsy (inter splicing the men talking with them jerking off), you realize Martin Scorsese is not at the helm. The camera is a bit shaky and they don’t have high definition. The lighting isn’t the greatest either. You can download in Quicktime, DMV, or stream. They also have iPhone, iPod, and iPad options. I had no problems with any of the options. The videos are a little shorter than other sites (about 15 to 20 minutes), and that’s fine too, as some clips are way too long. It’s important to note that most of the videos are solo; there’s a three-way clip that I viewed but it lacked pretty much everything except, well, three guys. The men talk to the camera and jack off. The site updates about once a week and the material is exclusive to RGE. There’s no zip file for the photos, and no studio shots. One cool feature is an option that lets you stream or download very short (fewer than 60 seconds) sections of clips. So if you really do like a guy, and just want the cum shot, go for it. -

If "real guys" means "average guys," then the site doesn’t lie. I did find two men who I thought looked like they might have a future in porn, one Latin, one all-American. Almost every other guy is average-looking, like the producers asked their friends if they wouldn’t mind participating. I do think it’s fun to listen to what the models say, but not for over two minutes. Porn is porn, and most of us watch it to get off, not to find out if he shaves his chest hair or not, or prefers hairy balls to clean-cut. The sex is okay; nothing to write home about. A lot of the guys here are creepy-young, some are creepy-skinny, and some are tattooed a bit too much. Close-ups on foreskin seem to be the site’s idea of "high concept," but, ultimately, the sex is anti-climatic I wouldn’t recommend this for a background party attraction. -

I don’t want to kick a dead horse, but what’s so great about this site that you would want to pay for it? Okay, the clips are exclusive, but they’re not worth saving. You get access to, among other things, erotic stories. Do you really want to pay gay porn money to read erotic stories? You can go all over the Internet and find stories of guys getting blow jobs in the stream room. And, frankly, you could probably set up your web cam, call a few friends, pay them 20 bucks, and make hotter videos. If I’m missing something, let me know, as I wish all business ventures to do well. -

RealGuysExposed.com is a boring, banal, and amateurish site that doesn’t offer much besides run-of-the-mill porn. Most of the guys are not hot, there are too many solo videos, and the video quality and sex action isn’t worth it. It’s the only site I’ve seen that has erotic stories to go along with it, but that’s not why I log into gay porn. On the plus side, the navigation is simple and easy. -

RealGuysExposed.com features average-looking guys in mostly solo clips. The men are pretty young, and look like recruits from the bus depot. The quality and excitement level of the site is very poor. -
