- First Impression
I've been reviewing a lot of twink sites lately. Now, there's nothing wrong with this, twinks are hot. But when you spend every day eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, sometimes you need to switch it up a little bit and have a nice slice of roast beef. Enter Johan Volny, where "beef" is both figurative and literal. I mean, woof. Visiting the homepage for Johan-Volny.com there's a lot going on, and all of it features Johan. You'll pardon me if I swoon a little bit because, well...Johan. I'll get to him in a little bit. But first impression says, I'm gonna like what I see. - Navigation
Logging in, the site design and navigation mercifully stays the same. A lot of website will have a guest page that rocks it out, and then you log in and all of that eye-catching porn candy disappears and you're like "What the fuck?" It's like walking into a French cuisine restaurant only to discover they're serving Mexican food. Johan-Volny.com is the same, inside and out. That doesn't necessarily mean the food is 5-star, though. The site design lacks a little depth, somehow, like there's nothing anchoring it to the internet. It's a house salad with no protein in it, nothing that's satisfying. The navigation is a bit simplistic, but in a way that mostly works. The homepage is a bit muddled, but once you start tinkering around within the content, it's a bit easier to navigate. -

There's a fair amount of content at Johan-Volny.com, but the options for viewing are limited. No bulk download options for photo sets (though there is original photo content) and 95% of the movies can only be viewed online using Flash. The only movies that can be downloaded are those found under the "Downloads" section, which offers five clips at a time and download as AVI files. This is one area where Johan-Volny.com could greatly stand to extend their smorgasbord. -
- Guys and Sex
So here's the thing: Johan Volny is hot, but in this odd unconventional way. He's like if Joel McHale had a big, gay European son with a generous helping of German sausage and a set of abs on which you could grate Parmesan cheese. However, the website isn't just about Johan Volny. In the exclusive photo sets, members will find models other than Johan Volny, and these models are just as hot. Moving on to Exclusive Videos, viewers get the chance to see Johan Volny go at it solo, a lot. It's really a beautiful thing to see. Johan knows what his audience wants and he knows how to deliver on it, in 10 edited minutes or less. Occasionally in these Exclusive videos, members can see him tooling around with other guys, or seeing the occasional non-Johan Volny model jerk off. Otherwise it's all Johan, all the time. If you're looking for some more participation, check out "My Movies". These are professionally produced movies that Johan has starred in, and offer more delectable servings of Johan playing mano y mano with other guys. "Downloads" offers a Lazy Susan of clips for you to keep for yourself, with new clips going up every four days. The sex is hot. The sex is really hot. -

There aren't a lot of extras here; Johan-Volny.com has to survive on the virtues of its star alone. There is Johan's personal blog but honestly, who's going to a porn site to read some dude's blog? Why read about Johan filming a scene when you can go to Exclusive Videos and watch it happen? Members can also sign up for the newsletter, but...see above, re: personal blog. -
- Bottom Line
The thing about sites devoted to one model is that you have to be into that model. You wouldn't go to Peking Restaurant if you didn't like Chinese food. Luckily, Johan Volny is tasty delights. While the site may not offer a lot by way of downloads or diversity, the quality is finger licking good. -
